Rich: It’s really nice actually. I prefer the Relentless energy drink.

Harry: Rich has had Relentless before…

Rich: Yeah. It’s got a really crazy website – I got an email from the PR company. And then a phone call – I ignored the email at first – and got this phone call for the Relentless brand. And she wanted some sort of review about the Relentless brand or concept and something. I just didn’t… get it…

[chuckles]

Rich: So after all that I looked on the website, looked around it; there’s pretty pictures, and…

Harry: Smells like Red Bull…


Rich: Yeah, it’s a really nice tasting energy drink. But I don’t get what Relentless is…

Clive: Well, it’s a drink, isn’t it?

Rich: Well it’s a brand and a movement and a concept apparently…

Clive: Oh, right…

Rich: It’s got some art movement behind it as well.

Harry: That just sounds like marketing spiel…

Clive: But then Red Bull’s more than an energy drink as well. It’s an F1 team and it’s meant to be pushing boundaries. And it’s got the Air Race.

Mark: Red Bull is an institution.

Clive: Yeah, it’s like a company that does lots of different… things… off the back of this one energy drink. Which apparently is illegal in France, Red Bull.

Mark: Is it really?

Clive: Yeah, apparently.

Harry: Presumably, all of these drinks would be illegal in France then?

Clive: Hmm, I don’t’ know.

Mark: [Drinking Relentless] It tastes just like Red Bull, but a bit more so.

Clive: It looks a little bit like wee…

Harry: Yeah, it does a little bit, but then so does Red Bull, it looks a bit like wee.

[Rich burps]

Clive: [to Rich] That’s a horrible sound!

Rich: I was trying to cover it!

Mark: So this is basically Red Bull.

Clive: It does smell like Red Bull.

Mark: If you buy Relentless, then expect the smell and taste of Red Bull.

Rich: They do another flavour – this is the brown ‘original’ Relentless, but the green and yellow one had got fruit juice in it as well. It tastes a bit better. Bit more original.

Clive: But the brown one’s just Red Bull isn’t it?

Rich: Yeah.

Harry: Relentless energy drink is Red Bull. But it does come in a bigger can, though – 500ml, Jeese…

Clive: That should come with a health warning shouldn’t it?

Harry: [laughs] I think all of these should come a health warning! Warning: do not consume more than one of these drinks!

Rich: I’ve actually started to twitch already…

Clive: Ahh, hang on, these Jolt Cola cans are meant to hold three servings – you’re not meant to chug the whole lot.

Harry: I think with the Bawls you are though.

Clive: Really? You’re meant to get the Bawls down in one go?

Harry: Yeah, absolutely…

[Laughter]

Harry: Ahh, we’re so mature!

Clive: It’s these weird energy drinks – they’re affecting our brains!

Harry: It’s the respect that we all deserve… going out the window…

Clive: Right, we’d better move onto the next one then…
